Love doing hair, it’s my thing! After finishing cosmetology school, I decided to move to the ATL and focus on my growing on-location business for weddings and photo shoots. Working as a full-time hairstylist and married with a baby on the way, along with doing weddings on Saturdays, I was certainly busy, but I knew there was something more I wanted to do! After becoming a friend and hairstylist to Mikka, we joked about opening a salon together…then it happened! Combining my clientele and experience in the styling/wedding industry with her restaurant background, the concept of The District was developed. This space is what I had always envisioned for myself and my clients; beautiful, hip, and full of talent! After serving our community for almost 10 years, we know our guests at The D feel welcome like family, because they truly are!

I started working when I was 15 years old in the fast paced restaurant industry. Having always been the creative and artistic type, I knew I wanted to find a career where I could use my talents every day.  I decided I would go to school to major in art, with the dream to open a restaurant one day. After realizing that school wasn’t for me, I opted for a different route.  I desired to fuse my passion for working and creativity. Deciding to go into the hair industry, I opted for an apprenticeship and quickly built up a clientele. I had only been a hair stylist for 5 years when the opportunity came about for me to open a restaurant in downtown Roswell, knowing I would one day go back to doing hair. Several years later I decided it was time to get back into doing hair full time. I knew that Jessica was the perfect partner. Now going on our 10th year, The District is our home away from home & we want our guests to feel the same way!
